Job Description

Team Leader in Peterlee

Full-Time Hours

£12.54 per hour

Lifeways Complex Care and Autism Division are currently looking to recruit senior support workers for Unity House in Peterlee, County Durham.The role will include supporting individuals with daily routines, dispensing and auditing of medications and management and rotation of the staff team.

Unity House is a 21 bedded residential home which provides accommodation for adults aged 18 and over. 

Individuals who reside at the home have a diagnosis of intellectual disability and may also have co-existing conditions including mental health and/or physical impairments. 

The service provides support to adults who can present with behavioural distress which require passionate, empathetic and understanding support workers. 

The overarching aim of the service is to ensure people we support receive the highest quality of life which can be attained.

 

Candidate Profile:

We are currently looking for staff with drive and have a passion for supporting adults with all aspects of everyday life, which can include personal care tasks. There is an emphasis on developing and promoting independence. The role requires a staff member who can approach support with this value at the forefront at all times.

Unity House use a person centred approach which matches the support staff skills with people we support to ensure the best quality of support can be offered. 

Successful candidates must be willing to work a variety of shift patterns. A fully enhanced DBS is required, the cost of which is paid for by the company.
