Job Description

The Lifeways Group in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria are currently looking to recruit an expierienced Team Leader in one of our local Supported living services.

At Church Court apartments, people benefit from a vibrant network of staff and friends, while having peace and quiet when they need it too.

There are sixteen one-bedroom apartments, each with a kitchen, a living room, a wet room style bathroom and underfloor heating.

Church Court also has two one-bedroom bungalows which have level access. One bungalow is open-plan with a kitchen and a living room, while the other has a separate kitchen and bathroom. Both have wet room-style bathrooms.

There is an accessible garden with a patio and a BBQ for people to enjoy when the weather is nice. Some apartments have patio doors that open directly onto the garden too.

We are looking for a Team Leaders who will inspire a culture workforce development through induction, probation and supervision within the team and oversee and contribute to the development and implementation of care plans within the service.... 

  • Experience of working with these client groups is essential particular experience of working with Service Users with mental health would be an advantage.
  • NVQ Level 3 or above/equivalent in Health and Social Care or the will to work towards the qualification or a minimum of 2 years learning disability sector experience is essential

Key Responsibilities:

  • To support and supervise the delivery of person centred services to all people using the service
  • To support the Service Manager in the completion of accurate rota and timesheet information
  • To promote and support the health and safety of both people using the service and support staff
  • To ensure that the actions of all staff directly supporting people using the service support their care, protection and well-being
  • To develop own knowledge and practice relative to continuous service improvement
  • To provide support and supervision to Area Office Support Workers, to ensure effective and efficient person centred service delivery.
