Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Team Leader to assist in managing the day-to-day running of our service in Ashington, helping the individuals we support with all aspects of their lives.
Milburn Court is classified as a forensic facility there are ten two-bedroom apartments, residents have many interests including volunteering, working, listening to music, watching television, karaoke, walking, gardening, shopping, cooking, fishing, football, swimming, and being in the community
The role requires the successful candidate to be of a caring and supportive nature and be able to deliver person-centred support to a range of diverse and individual service users with complex needs; residents are supported throughout the day and night, helping them to live as independently as possible.
- Experience of working with these client groups is essential particular experience of working with Service Users with mental health would be an advantage.
- NVQ Level 3 or above/equivalent in Health and Social Care or the will to work towards the qualification or a minimum of 2 years learning disability sector experience is essential
Key Responsibilities:
- To support and supervise the delivery of person centred services to all people using the service
- To support the Service Manager in the completion of accurate rota and timesheet information
- To promote and support the health and safety of both people using the service and support staff
- To ensure that the actions of all staff directly supporting people using the service support their care, protection and well-being
- To develop own knowledge and practice relative to continuous service improvement
- To provide support and supervision to Area Office Support Workers, to ensure effective and efficient person centred service delivery.
