Job Description

The Lifeways Group is looking for Support Workers for an adult with Learning Disabilities, in Welton Lincoln, LN2

No experience is necessary, as we are looking for people with the right values and attitude.

You will be working as part of a team of support staff working on a shift pattern rota basis supporting a Male Service user who is in his early thirties who requires care 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

The shift pattern will be on a early and late shift basis with sleep ins.  The rate is £11.44

A minimum of one years' support worker experience is desirable but not essential and you will also be required to administer medication when trained to do so.

You will also be required to provide personal care support to our male service user - experience of this is desirable but not essential.

The person we support is non verbal and relies on the support team to communicate with him in a way that he understands.

You will need to be vigilant, calm, caring and patient at all times when supporting him at his home and out in the community.

The person we support has a variety of activities he enjoys out in the community, at his Day Centre, and with his family who live close by.

You will need to possess excellent communication skills and be able to confidently and professionally liaise with his family and other members of his core team to ensure you support him effectively.

A driver is preferred for this position to be able to drive the person’s Motability car.

You will be supported throughout your time with our company by our friendly and supportive staff and management, and will receive additional training tailored to the needs of the customer(s) you support.
