Job Description

We develop skills for life skills for supported and independent living,

You will need some experience of autism and learning disabilities as you will be supporting our service users in all aspects of daily life.

You will need to have patience and a calm manner to be able to support our service users in their own homes and out in the community.

You would be expected to support our service users in all types of activities and be vigilant at all times.

You must have excellent communication skills and be able to liaise professionally and confidently with the core team working along side you to support our service user.

We provide support for 14 hours per day and also through the night

Future training opportunities:
You will be nominated to attend a variety
of service specific training and complete
vocational learning and qualifications
appropriate to your role. This training is
designed to give you the key skills required
to deliver support that is person centred
and specific to your service’s needs.

Comprehensive Induction –
Care Certificate
All new Support Workers will complete a comprehensive paid induction consisting of Classroom
and service specific learning, e-learning and
shadow shifts to ensure you are fully trained and
supported before commencing at any service.

Following the successful completion of your
probationary period, you will be awarded with
the Care Certificate.

Hourly Rate Enhancements
Christmas Day: Double time
Boxing Day: Time and a half
New Year’s Day: Time and a half

Annual Leave
20 days per annum plus 8 Public Holidays.
After 5 years continuous service we will
reward you by automatically increasing this
to 25 days plus 8 Public Holidays.

Pension
Upon commencement you will be automatically
enrolled into our NEST pension plan which
includes an employer contribution * Subject to
earnings and qualifying criteria.
