Job Description

We are seeking to appoint an innovative and creative professional, to manage our established service in Bolton (Red Lion Apartments) working as a Mental Health Service Manager. 

Red Lion Apartments is a development of 16 high quality self-contained apartments in Westhoughton that provides accommodation and 24 hour support for people with complex mental health needs. Person-centred recovery support is provided by our core on-site team of recovery workers, with additional support from our Quality and Practice Team.

The main aim of this role is to provide effective, outcome based, community recovery for people with complex mental health needs. To regularly monitor, evaluate and develop the service, making sure systems are in place to ensure that the feedback and involvement of service users, their families, partner agencies and staff are fully incorporated. Working in the main Monday to Friday this role will have some need to cover Sleep Ins and weekend shifts as and when required. There are opportunities for continuous learning and development in this role.

Our primary purpose is to support the early and timely transition of individuals from hospital or medium-to-low secure settings into a community-based, high support service. All our services offer individual tenancies and 24/7 specialist support. We recognise the diversity and uniqueness of each person, and we ensure everyone is treated with respect and dignity – we see the individual beyond the diagnosis, and help them develop a personalised recovery plan.

Some of the Key responsibilities of this role are listed below but not limited to: 

  • Encouraging an open culture in the team, listening to, and acting on opportunities and issues raised by the team where appropriate.
  • Manage compliance with the company quality & assurance and improvement process and preferred practices, such as quality audits and reviews.
  • Assure compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Promoting and delivering person centered support, including positive risk assessment and management and positive behavioral support
  • Ensure maintenance of a factual and accurate record of care delivery
  • Provide a safe living and working environment
  • Recruitment and retention of the staffing establishment required to deliver an effective service in accordance with company policy, inclusive recruitment methods and legislative requirements.
  • Plan and implement effective rotas.
  • Provide a first-class induction and employee experience to all team members, bringing the values and behaviours of Lifeways to life at every opportunity.

What you can bring to Lifeways:  

Must hold a minimum of Level 3 in Health social care or equivalent. 

A wealth of experience in people management and Health & Social care 

A valid UK drivers’ licence
