Job Description

Job Title: House Keeper

Reports to: Registered Manager

Job Summary:

To provide a high standard of cleanliness within the service and ensure compliance with infection control procedures

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Registered Manager or Deputy Manager
Ensure that daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to
Ensure that all cleaning equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe condition. Report any defect to the Registered Manager.
To be sensitive to the privacy and individual needs of the residents
To comply with COSHH regulations and Health & Safety regulations
To adhere to infection control policies at all times
To follow the correct use of colour code systems within the service
Ensure all necessary documentation is completed daily
Ensure cleaning equipment is stored correctly
Ensure storage cupboards are left clean and tidy
