Help Local People Live Their Best Lives with Lifeways

Are you looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference in your local community every day?

At Lifeways, we support people with learning disabilities and complex needs to live fulfilling, independent lives. Right now, we're looking for compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic Female Support Workers to join our friendly team in Swindon.

Whether you're experienced in care or completely new to the sector, we'll provide all the training, support, and development opportunities you need to build a rewarding career while helping others achieve their goals.

This isn't just a job. It's an opportunity to become an important part of someone's life, helping them gain confidence, enjoy new experiences, and remain connected to their community.

Meet the People You'll Be Supporting

You'll be supporting two gentlemen and one lady with learning disabilities and epilepsy to live independently, pursue their interests, and enjoy day-to-day life.

Together, you'll enjoy activities such as:

  • Swimming
  • Shopping trips
  • Zumba classes
  • Ice skating (although skating skills are not required, professional support is available)

No two days are the same. One day you may be helping someone attend a local activity, and the next you could be supporting them to develop new life skills, meet friends, or achieve a personal goal.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Support Worker, you'll help people with:

  • Daily living skills
  • Building confidence and independence
  • Accessing community activities and events
  • Managing appointments and routines
  • Developing hobbies and interests
  • Living the life they choose

Most importantly, you'll be providing encouragement, companionship, and support that helps people thrive.

Working Hours

Full-Time: 37.5 hours per week

Shift patterns include:

  • 07:00 - 14:30
  • 14:30 - 22:00
  • 07:00 - 22:00
  • 10:00 - 21:00

You will need to be flexible and able to work every other weekend.

Driving Requirement

As part of this role, you'll support people to access activities and appointments within the local community. Therefore, you must:

  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Be willing to drive company vehicles

What We Offer

We believe that people who care for others deserve to feel valued too. That's why we invest in our colleagues through a wide range of benefits, training, and career opportunities.

Benefits Include

  • Over £2,000 worth of annual rewards and benefits
  • Cycle to Work Scheme worth up to £1,000
  • Gym discounts, saving up to £192 per year
  • Health cash plans and eye care support
  • 10% discount at B&Q
  • Blue Light Card eligibility with discounts on shopping, travel, food, and leisure
  • £200 colleague referral bonus
  • 3% employer pension contribution
  • 8 paid training days each year
  • Access to apprenticeships and recognised qualifications
  • Ongoing career progression opportunities

What We're Looking For

You don't need previous care experience to succeed with Lifeways. If you have the right values, we'll provide the rest.

We're looking for people who:

  • Are caring, patient, and approachable
  • Enjoy helping others achieve their potential
  • Can work flexibly and as part of a team
  • Are willing to learn and develop new skills
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Want to make a positive impact in their local community
