Deputy Manager – Outreach Services

Office Location: SO15 2BG
Travel: Regular travel is required across the SO16 area, so a full driving licence is preferred.

We're looking for a dedicated and passionate Deputy Manager to join our Outreach team in Southampton.

This is a varied role that combines hands-on support with office-based responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, community-based environment. Working alongside the Area Manager, you'll support working-age adults with autism and learning disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives in supported living services and their own homes, while leading and motivating a committed team.

You will

  • Provide direct support to the people we support when required.
  • Schedule and manage staff rotas.
  • Complete and maintain person-centred care plans.
  • Supervise, coach and support a small team.
  • Oversee the day-to-day delivery of outreach and supported living services.
  • Promote high-quality, person-centred care and positive outcomes.

About You

We're looking for a confident and proactive leader who can work independently while inspiring those around them.

You'll ideally have:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or be working towards it).
  • At least three years' experience in social care, including supervisory experience.
  • Experience supporting people with autism and learning disabilities.
  • A background in domiciliary care, outreach services or supported living.
  • Values that align with Lifeways' commitment to delivering exceptional person-centred support.

Why Join Lifeways?

This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference every day. You'll empower people to live independently, with dignity and purpose, while helping to shape the future of our services.

As a Deputy Manager, you'll be trusted to lead your team, drive high standards of care and develop a positive, supportive culture where colleagues and the people we support can thrive.

What You'll Receive

  • Stream financial wellbeing tools, including real-time pay tracking and early access to earned wages.
  • Leadership development programmes and clear career progression opportunities.
  • A supportive and inclusive workplace.
  • Matched company pension contributions.
  • Wellbeing resources and mental health support.
  • Reward and Recognition schemes.
  • CHOICE Rewards, offering discounts on shopping, technology, travel and more.

Why Now?

We're on an exciting journey to become the Care Provider of Choice, making this a great time to join Lifeways.

We actively listen to our colleagues through regular surveys and forums, using their feedback to improve the way we work and the support we provide. As a Deputy Manager, you'll have the autonomy, resources and encouragement to make a real impact on your team and the lives of the people we support.

If you're ready to develop your leadership career while making a difference every day, we'd love to hear from you.

Please note: We are not working with recruitment agencies for this vacancy. Any CVs submitted to Lifeways by a recruitment agency without prior agreement will be treated as a gift.
