Job Description

About the Role

Working closely with the Lead BI Analyst, Data Engineering teams, and stakeholders across Operations, HR, Finance, and Quality, you will design and deliver impactful dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions using modern BI tools and techniques.

You’ll help create a consistent, enterprise-wide BI framework while enabling teams across Lifeways to make smarter, faster, and more informed decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing

Insight & Reporting

  • Develop engaging dashboards and reports using Power BI
  • Deliver timely and accurate insight across operational, financial, HR, and quality functions
  • Analyse trends, patterns, and performance drivers within complex datasets
  • Support KPI reporting, executive dashboards, and performance packs

Data Modelling & Analysis

  • Build and maintain logical and physical data models
  • Create structured datasets for reporting and analysis
  • Work alongside Data Engineering teams to optimise data pipelines and reporting performance

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Translate business requirements into meaningful analytical solutions
  • Partner with non-technical and technical stakeholders across the organisation
  • Support self-service analytics through reusable datasets and reporting tools

Data Quality & Governance

  • Ensure consistency in KPIs, business rules, and reporting standards
  • Support data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis
  • Maintain compliance with GDPR and data governance standards

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to automate and improve reporting processes
  • Contribute to innovation in analytics, forecasting, and predictive insights
  • Support adoption of new BI technologies as part of our transformation programme

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or Reporting Analyst role
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Power BI
    • SQL
    • DAX
    • Data modelling and transformation
  • Experience working with operational, HR, finance, or quality datasets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent data visualisation and storytelling ability
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to a variety of audiences
  • Understanding of data governance, data quality, and reporting standards

Desirable

  • Degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, BI, or related discipline
  • Microsoft or Power BI certifications
